Main activities
- Define research and development objectives and ensure the implementation of approved plans in compliance with defined timeframes, costs and methods;
- Coordinate research projects funded internally or by third-party research institutions, managing budgets, timelines, and deliverables;
- Implement company strategies for product development and intellectual property protection;
- Lead studies and experiments on new applications, based on technological trends and market needs;
- Propose innovative policies and methodologies for research activities;
- Promote the industrialization of the technological and process innovations achieved;
- Identify funding opportunities and initiate the necessary actions to secure funding;
- Manage and develop professional relationships with research institutions and funding bodies.
Requirements
Essentials/Must have
- At least 5 years of experience gained in the Research and Development area of industrial manufacturing companies or universities / research centres ;
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering and PhD or equivalent relevant academic/research experience ;
- Fluent knowledge of the English language.
Preferential/Nice to have
- Technical background developed in complex industrial manufacturing processes;
- Experience in managing funded projects;
- Ability to interface with research institutions and technical stakeholders;
- Strategic vision, strong orientation towards innovation and proactivity;
- Organizational and Project Management skills;
- WCM and Lean Manufacturing experience;
- Knowledge of the main tools for protecting intellectual property (trademarks and patents);
- Aptitude for digitalization of processes and knowledge of management systems: SAP 4 Hana, MES, PLM.

- Permanent employment at management level;
- Indicative RAL: €55,000 – 65,000 (specific parameters will be evaluated flexibly and commensurate with actual experience);
