Production Manager

The role's mission is to ensure the full efficiency of the production process, ensuring compliance with production plans, quality standards, costs, and schedules. The role oversees and optimizes production processes, coordinates internal and external resources, manages systems, and contributes to the continuous development of company performance.

Main responsibilities:

· Plan and organize the production schedule based on orders and company priorities and ensure production according to established plans, ensuring quantity, quality, time and costs.

· Coordinate human and material resources, ensuring production continuity.

· Manage the production budget, monitoring costs, waste, energy consumption and raw materials.

· Collaborate with Quality for regulatory compliance and with Technical Management for industrialization and supplier management.

· Ensure compliance with good operating practices (GMP/HACCP where required) and monitor production KPIs (efficiency, waste, OEE, cycle times).

· Supervise mold setup, presses, format changeover times and implement continuous improvement projects (Lean, Kaizen).

· Coordinate ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, ensuring system reliability and production continuity.

· Train, motivate, and develop production staff and supervise subcontracted cooperatives/suppliers and manage third-party companies and contracts, verifying performance, interference safety, and compliance with contracts (including DUVRI)

Essentials/Must have

· Skills in Operations (purchasing, logistics, production), management of highly automated departments and medium/high tonnage presses, planning, data analysis, plastic production processes, and transformation technologies.

· Knowledge of maintenance processes and ERP/MES systems and Lean Manufacturing methodologies;

· Leadership, problem solving, stress management, results orientation, technical/efficiency/lean mindset.

Preferential/Nice to have

· Technical/engineering academic background preferred (Management Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Materials Engineering/Chemistry);

· Experience in the plastic molding sector (injection);

· Knowledge of plastic materials and polymers (virgin and regenerated);

· Experience in managing industrial procurement and suppliers;

· Background from structured companies in the metalworking, rubber-plastic, or automotive sectors.
