Area Manager Lombardy - Construction sector

The Area Manager will have a strategic role in the commercial development of the area, with a direct focus on managing end customers (construction companies) and coordinating the network of agents throughout the area.

Main activities

  • Directly manage the assigned sales points, developing their turnover
  • Coordinate and support a team of agents active in Lombardy, assisting them in field activities and strategic negotiations, in order to ensure alignment between agents and sales outlets
  • Follow complex commercial negotiations, from proposal to closing
  • Monitor KPIs, turnover and margins of the area
  • Develop and manage relationships with end customers (construction companies)
  • Monitor construction sites to identify opportunities and develop targeted offers
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Management during the growth and reorganization phase of the network
  • Prepare sales reports and structured feedback on territory and agents.

Requirements

Hard Skills:

  • Diploma/Degree
  • At least 5 years of previous experience as an Area Manager in a manufacturing company in the construction, furniture, lighting or similar sectors
  • Experience in managing direct customers (B2B)
  • No retail/point of sale management experience required
  • Mastery of pricing, assortment and category management logic
  • Knowledge of construction site dynamics and procurement processes
    Experience in managing KPIs and commercial budgets
  • Consultative and service-oriented approach

Soft skills:

  • Coordination, leadership and management of complex relationships skills
  • Strong commercial and results-oriented orientation (turnover and margins)
  • Ability to manage negotiations and structured negotiations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and mediation skills
  • Availability for frequent activities in the area.
