Our client is the local subsidiary and sales branch of a well-known multinational company that manufactures plumbing, gas, foam, and water-mist products and systems in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. The company in EMEA employs about 200 people and has distribution centers in Luxembourg (headquarters), Germany, Sweden, UK, Italy, Spain, Romania, and Turkey. Several local offices in Poland, the Netherlands and Dubai complete the network of its presence in the EMEA region.

In order to reinforce the sales department, we are looking for two roles:

 

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

SALES MANAGER – SALES ENGINEER

 

Mission:

The Sales Representative (frequently named in the market Sales Engineer/Sales Manager) will take part in the execution of a Commercial & Sales strategy that will contribute to the achievement of the Client general objectives and more specifically to the profitable growth objectives in Italy.

Reporting to the Italian, Israel, Greece and North of Africa Sales Manager, the role is responsible for the sales of all the products range to the contractors in the national market.

The duties include account management as well as networking in the engineering/building community and supporting local industry related organizations.

 Responsabilities:

  • Responsible for the sales performance in the area / customers / clusters agreed with the Sales Manager;
  • Enforce Client’s local presence by managing and supporting the company’s mission and policies in order to build up strong and trustful relationships with customer and stakeholders (end users, governmental authorities, building/industrial/fire protection lobbies);
  • Provide valuable local market input and work with the central functions e.g. Credit department) to optimize the sales;
  • Continuously improve and optimize the sales of area at sales, margin and cost levels;
  • Provide local market information to the central teams;
  • Work together with the local team to reach the annual sales of your location and company targets;
  • Define the strategies for local business following the guidelines, goals and targets received from the Local Sales Manager.

 Requirements:

  • A self-motivated and organized self-starter with proven sales skills and a technical markets background;
  • +4 previous background in sales, with an extensive autonomous mind set;
  • A sales or technical experience in the plumbing, fire protection systems or firefighting, pumps or any hydraulic solution projects services is preferred – an experience in building civil construction/infrastructure equipments will also be considered valuable;
  • Understanding of the technical jargon within the contracting business;
  • Strong relational skills and social attitude, internally in Team Working and externally with the stake holders / customers networks, a people-oriented person;
  • Strong communication skill, proven sales skills, experiences and network;
  • High level of energy, strong sense of commitment, results drive;
  • Hands-on approach, able to prioritize and get things done, self-motivated and organized self-starter;
  • Self-organization skills, in terms of time management and efficient own agenda handling;
  • Good knowledge of English.

Location:

  • One position is based in Rome (home office) and requires both a continuous presence in the market and frequent travels in the South Centre of Italy (3/4 days a week)
  • One position is based in Milan (hybrid) and requires both a continuous presence in the market and frequent travels in the North of Italy (3/4 days a week)

The company will hire the best candidate with a compensation package coherent with the more qualified profiles and expertise.
