PROCUREMENT MANAGER

(RAW MATERIALS)

 

 

PURPOSE:

The position reports to the Group Procurement Director ad will have accountability for creating and consolidating the right supplier mix in order to continuously find the best cost solution on raw materials purchases through a combination of price, service and payment terms. The position will be also directly accountable for assuring supply continuity and the right level of quality.  

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Procurement Manager:

• Lead the relationship with suppliers concerning raw materials including:
  • Supplier mix optimization
  • Price, service and payment terms negotiation
  • Continuous price analysis and market follow-up (Business Intelligence)
  • Supplier evaluation
  • Local versus global sourcing analysis, interacting with the plants when necessary
• Lead specific projects focused on cost reductions, working with multiple departments and functions
• Identify & implement solutions focused on administrative cost optimization through the creation of new procedures and guidelines concerning the entire procurement process

 

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Chemical or industrial engineering
• Essential very good knowledge of polyolefin (PP, PE) and thermoplastic elastomer (SBS, SEBS) markets
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement within manufacturing required
• Good level of communication
• Initiative, and flexibility to accept, assume and adapt to multiple demands and priorities
• Responsibility and autonomy to take decisions oriented to the global results
• Ability to work with different teams and on different projects
• Language: mandatory fluent English. Valued French and Spanish

 

The place of work is located in Ferrara.
