PLANT MANAGER
PURPOSE:
We are looking for a highly motivated Plant Manager to lead operations in an industrial process plant. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in managing a production team, planning production and supervising maintenance of equipment and facilities.
The position reports to the Operations Director and is responsible for coordinating people, in compliance with the objectives of quality, service, safety, cost, production, productivity, control of raw materials.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage, organize and control production activities, in order to achieve the set production, quality and safety objectives
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase plant efficiency and reduce costs
- Develop and manage the plant budget
- Develop and implement manufacturing schedules to ensure timely delivery of products with a particular focus on customer satisfaction
- Supervise the production team and plant operators, providing them with guidance and support in solving day by day problems
- Coordinate staff training and development activities to ensure team professional growth and improve technical and leadership skills
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures to protect the health and safety of employees and respect for the environment
- Collaborate with the logistics, quality and engineering departments to ensure the achievement of production objectives and continuous improvement of production processes
Experience, Knowledge, Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field;
- Strong leadership and team management skills and Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Capabilities to develop teamwork, people development and engagement;
- Experience in with ISO9001 and IS04002 and knowledge and experience of TQM, JIT and continuous improvement techniques (Lean & Six Sigma);
- Strong knowledge of production processes, safety regulations with a strong focus on results and product quality and customer satisfaction
- Ability to work in a matrix organization;
- Fluent English is a must.
