Senior Packaging Developer

• Manage packaging solutions, providing a comprehensive feasibility assessment and influencing each concept in terms of manufacturability, cost of goods sold (COGS), investment, and preliminary lead times;
• Collaborate with external suppliers and subcontracting partners to define technical specifications, design criteria, quality parameters, and expectations, from component production to filling, assembly, and end-user use;
• Recommend sourcing and supply chain strategies within a global supplier portfolio;
• Ensure that all programs meet Design requirements, maintaining product, quality, cost, functionality, manufacturability and delivery timeline objectives;
• Assess risks and develop clear mitigation plans for the Operations team;
• Promote innovation by presenting new packaging concepts, technologies, and market trends, both internal and external to the industry, to continuously support innovation;
• Support existing business through technical consultancy;
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Essentials/Must have

• Degree in Engineering, Materials Science or related disciplines;
• Many years of experience in packaging development or engineering in the Beauty, Fragrance, and CPG sectors;
• Fluent knowledge of the English language.

Preferential/Nice to have

• Solid knowledge of packaging production processes and third-party manufacturing;
• Technical skills and knowledge of materials (injection molding, glass forming and decoration, dispensing systems, paper material design;
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills and the ability to interact credibly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
• Proactive approach, with the ability to operate in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment;
• Good ability to manage emergencies and multiple activities in parallel.
